Ilya Kohen and CurtainTime are a throwback to the past, for which I am incredibly grateful. CurtainTime is a speciality store, run by a person who knows his subject. When I needed to match window hardware from 30 years ago, it took only minutes to explain and he understood, searched and found what I needed. The shop is just what it says:CURTAINS. Quality pieces which will last, rather than tossing things out in a few years due to wear and breakdown. Hardware to create an effect in a home. The specialization that's been lost with online and box stores really does still exist somewhere! We don't go to a cardiologist for a root canal, or an orthodontist after a heart attack, why would you go to a department store to creste your look, or order online without even touching the fabric? Curtain Time has a massive variety of window dressing and hardware, operated by a specialist in his field who also has resources to help find or make special pieces to fit your home's needs. And not at an exorbitant cost either. Ilya Kohen made me feel something I haven't feel in years.. like a customer whose input matters and whom he wanted to sincerely help. I needed a shade for my front window. Ilya came to measure and had samples for me to look at and selects. He was professional and friendly. It was very easy and the at home service made it even better. The installer came in and put up the shade in about 20 minutes. I loved the service and would recommend Curtain Time to anyone!

Ilya represents a thoughtful and caring business that seeks to suit your specific needs. We had a half-moon window that needed a custom solution, and he came with big books of fabrics and colors and worked with us on dialing in what we were looking for. Once we arrived at the specification, the install time was scheduled as soon as possible and was performed in literally no time. Overall I was happy with my experience and would recommend for anyone.

We had the best experience with Curtain Time. We did our living room and family room. The owner and a consultant helped us pick beautiful curtains and shades. They were professional and gave us great ideas. We will be going back to them when we do our bedrooms soon. I highly recommend them!

We went to Curtain time to check out what they had for window coverings for an oversize set of sliders, a bay window and 2 off size kitchen windows. Ilya spent a lot of time with my wife and I going over what the various offerings were, delivery times and install times. He came to our house a few days later and measured everything, again, spending a couple hours with us and bringing a few samples as well. We settled on Luminettes and Silhouettes by Hunter Douglas. Delivery was to be in 6 weeks or so with install shortly after he received them. Schedule was accurate the install was done in a very reasonable time frame that fit our schedules. No issues, delays or glitches at all. Overall, an outstanding experience with Curtain Time and Ilya. Great product, service was awesome and the product is just what we wanted for our house. Highly recommended.

I worked with Curtain Time's staff to design custom curtains for our porch doors and could not be happier. Each staff member I talked with was not only extremely knowledgeable, with a good eye for color, fabric and design, but were also completely aware of my order, it's status, and were obviously very well organized as a business. I found the fabric on site, fell in love with it, and worked with them on custom panels and grommets, as well as an insulated lining which has really made a significant difference in the temperature and our energy costs this winter. I can't say enough about Curtain Time, the gorgeous, high quality product is certainly worth every penny spent.

I would give Curtain Time more stars if I could. I have been buying curtains at this store for about two years now.. I Can’t say enough good things about the owner Ilya and Marilyn (the curtain whisperer) LOL. Both always manage to figure out what I’m looking for, even when I can’t quite articulate what I’m looking for. I came in to the store last July with an idea for my difficult oversized dining room window. While traveling I had found the perfect window treatment and the exact fabric I wanted. I was able to get the fabric number from the owner of the B&B where I was staying and I took a photo. Armed with only the photo, fabric info and a dream, I went over to Curtain Time. Marilyn rough sketched what I was looking for added the number of valances that would be needed based on dimensions of the window called a company and found they had the fabric I wanted And managed to make exactly A perfect window treatment!!!! The installer (Mike) installed everything Saturday. His attention to detail and his willingness to work to perfection Is something I have not seen in years! I could not be happier with how my dining room looks now. Thank you Marilyn for making this lady’s dream become a perfect reality! And thank you so much Ilya. I've been going to curtain time for three decades. Today the owner helped me put together some wooden curtain rods out of odds and ends. Don't know where else I would get that kind of attention. Great local store!

Recently returned to Curtain Time for main bathroom curtain and to have valance made for our living room bay window and to redo cornice board fabric in our dining room. I was so please with the service I received from "Marilyn" and will be working with her to pick out fabrics. I loved that I could send her photos and she will pull things for me and have fabrics for me to look at. I did purchase exactly what I was looking for in bathroom valance and love it. Simple Beatrice Design valance, in Blue, put with my Heritage Lace curtain. I have shopped at Curtain Time in the past, good selection of curtains still, plus their line of Hunter Douglas.

We recently had new drapes and curtains installed and were extremely pleased and thrilled with the outcome! How beautiful the window looks! What a talented, kind, and knowledgable group of people, we encountered at Curtain Time. They truly listen to their customers and give it their all. Marilyn assisted and guided us on choosing the right drapes and curtains for our window and was right on! They perfectly complemented each other and our new carpet. It turned out fabulous! Mike, the installer, did an outstanding job, as well! We loved our existing rod and did not want to have to replace it. Mike assured us that he could restring our present rod and went out of his way to make sure it was perfect! What craftsmanship he displayed. Curtain Time was reasonable and very, well stocked with a nice quality of merchandise. Overall, I would highly recommend Curtain Time if you need new drapes or curtains, and believe me, we had looked everywhere! Do yourself a favor and give them a visit if you need any window treatments! You won't be disappointed!

Getting my roller shades from Curtain Time was a great experience both in customer service and the outcome. I love my new shades: they made my room nice and airy. Even during the Covid time Ilya came out to the house to measure.. and was very patient while I was selecting the right product: and there are plenty of choices. The delivery took longer than expected (due to Covid and the holidays) but Ilya kept me up to date. The installation was quick and professional.

Warning: Excellent installation! Top name brands! High quality products! Home Depot is great for do-it-your selfers, but if you need professional work Curtain Time delivers. I just moved from New York, my new condo needed window treatments. Well I've dealt with other installs at my previous home & paid top dollar but I was never as satisfied as with my window treatments as I am today. The measurements were precise on all my windows & on the sliding doors to my terrace. The job was pristine & beautiful. Thank You!

I just recently did a complete remodel of my kitchen, the only thing left was to select a window treatment. There was never a doubt in my mind where I needed to go. So off I went to Curtin Time. My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Kohen. We brought in pictures of our new kitchen/window to help in the selection process. We decided to go with the Hunter Douglas Pirouette shade. Mr. Kohen came out to the our home to measure and Derek did the installation. This Pirouette shade looks so elegant and it completes our beautiful new kitchen. I cannot say enough about what a wonderful experience it was from start to finish. Just this past week I went back to purchase a valance. Marilyn was so very sweet in helping me with my selection... Ilya Kohen and team did a great job putting shades on our skylights and with other shades. The skylight shades required ingenuity, as our skylights are unusual—they have interior mirrors that left Ilya's team with no easy way to attach the shades. But they found clever solution. Outstanding!
